Unusual Hand Technique to Manage your Anger

There are some days when you lose control of your schedule. You decide to leave the office at 6 pm, but precisely at 5.55 pm, your boss comes into your cabin and hands over more work to you. Again, precisely on that day, you get stuck in the traffic and reach home half an hour late. When you go home, your children are very eager to play with you as usual. But, because you are more tired than the other days, you yell at them for wanting to be with you! Sounds familiar?

If you are tired of expressing your anger to the wrong people, this ‘unusual hand technique’ is for you. This technique helps you break the pattern, bringing in any negative emotion from the previous occasions in one occasion. So, what is this technique?

You have to use your non-writing hand; that is, if you write by your right hand, then to perform this technique, use your left hand, and vice-versa. When one occasion is over, before going to experience a new occasion, in a new notebook, using your non-writing hand, you have to write the following sentence- ‘I AM IN CONTROL.’ And on the following line, you have to write the date and the time you wrote the sentence. When writing the date, you cannot use numerical. If the date is 9th April 2022, you should write it as ninth April two thousand and twenty-two. Close the notebook after writing the date and time, and go on to your next occasion.

This ‘unusual hand technique’ will keep your brain cells in an energetic state and that will help you to route your energy flow wherever you need to!
