We face stress because the mind can be a home to only one thought in the present moment. ‘Contrast color therapy’ uses this characteristic precisely.
To implement this therapy, we make four parts of a day. To associate each part with a color, we choose four CONTRASTING colors. When we enter a particular part of the day, we imagine entering a zone colored with the color associated with that part.
For instance, I choose four colors- green, white, red, and black. And I consider four parts of my day as following-
waking up to going to the office (green zone)
time spent in the office (white zone)
leaving the office to going to bed (red zone)
time spent sleeping (black zone)
So, when I wake up, I imagine being in the green zone. When I go to the office, I visualize that I am in the white zone. When I come back home, I imagine entering the red zone. And when I sleep, I picture being in the black zone.
While implementing this therapy, avoid choosing similar colors such as blue and sky blue. This therapy will ensure that your mind is always in the present moment. It will immediately mitigate your stress, and finally, it will make you stress-free.
