How often do you charge your smartphone’s batteries? Once a day? Once in two days? Well, you know that your smartphone depends on its batteries to work, and thus you need to charge the batteries regularly. But, you don’t stop after gaining this information. You act upon it. Acting on the information that we have is equally important as gaining the information. The way a smartphone depends on its batteries, our bodies are made up of five elements on which they depend. These five elements are- earth, water, fire, air and, space. Like the charging of smartphone batteries, we need to charge the five elements in our bodies.

Here’s how to charge the five elements.

  • Earth: walk barefoot in nature every day for five minutes. 
  • Water: drink three liters of water a day and take a shower every day. 
  • Fire: look into any flame for  5 to 7 seconds twice every day.
  • Air: wake up at least once a week at 4.30 am to breathe in unpolluted air
  • Space:  look at the sky from 30 to 60 seconds every day after sunset when it is not a no-moon day.

You can try practicing small habits to make these practices a part of your life. You can avoid wearing slippers at your home; you can park your car a little away from your office and walk to your office barefoot; you can light a Diya every evening; exercising outdoors in the early mornings, etc.

You will experience improvement in your physical and mental health by charging the five elements regularly.
