To improve your sleep quality…
Do you often wish to have good 8 hours of sleep and wake up bright and shiny in the morning? Have you been struggling to sleep peacefully?
We all know that it’s essential to get at least eight hours of restful sleep to work actively for the next 16 hours in the day. Getting a good night’s sleep is necessary to increase productivity and function efficiently. So I am sharing one of the many tips to improve your sleep quality with you.
Over the many years, the mind has trained itself to be active when there is daylight and rest when there is dark. It looks for such conscious or unconscious signals to remain active or fall asleep.
If we are used to looking up a gadget like a smartphone, a tablet, or a laptop right before we go to sleep, then the light from these gadgets plays the same role as the natural light. The mind reads the gadget’s light signals as the time to remain active. Even if you keep the device away after some time, the mind and body will struggle to move from active to inactive mode. You will observe that you will take time to fall asleep.
Instead, you can decide not to look at your smartphone or other similar gadgets for at least two hours before you go to bed. You can spend time in activities such as reading a book or chatting with your family at home or taking a walk. Now, because your mind has not received any signals to remain active, you will fall asleep faster when you go to bed. You will observe that your mind takes less time to move from active to rest mode, and your sleep quality has improved.
