What is God’s responsibility in our lives?

A guest had asked me, “What is the coping strategy in difficult situations to gain or obtain peace of mind if I am doing everything possible? I am also worshipping God constantly to obtain that mental peace.” In order to answer this question, let me first ask you all: What do you think is God’s responsibility in our lives?

We need to understand that God has not promised us that He will do everything in our life. We feel that God will do everything in our lives because we have been told since childhood that just believe in God and He will do everything in your life. This borrowed belief is a myth! God has promised to do what He is supposed to do in our life. He plays the role of providing us with the things needed to find the solution, but He does not build the solution for us. For example, He will produce the rubber tree on this Earth, but it is our responsibility to use our mind and convert that tree into automobile tyres. God will not give us ready-made tyres directly. The mind is given to humans so that they can convert the tree into automobile tyres. But if we start waiting to get the ready-made tyres directly in our hands, the situation becomes stressful and frustrating. Praying to God or worshipping God is excellent — don’t stop it — but be clear that God introduces you to the source that is going to solve your problems. He will not download the solution into your life.

Secondly, when you say, “I have done everything possible,” I want you to name everything that you have done so far to come out of the crisis. I am sure the list will not exceed 20. So this surely points to the fact that you have not done everything. Take another step ahead. Do one more thing. One thing that God always promises you is that you can do 100% of what you can do. That counts for 50% of finding the solution, and the rest of the 50% will be given by God — the part that consists of things you cannot do.
