How to develop interest?

Being interested in something can be achieved by delving deeper into information about that thing. For instance, if I ask you to join me to visit a cowshed to serve the cows there for some time and spend some time sitting with them, would you like to come along? You might just start thinking about it.

When indigenous cows breathe in, they take in oxygen and when they breathe out, they release oxygen again. And this is why our ancestors might have suggested keeping cows outside the house so that the supply of oxygen remains continuous from outside and when the people living in the house would get involved in cow service, they would inhale the oxygen released by the cow while exhaling, which would have helped in their good health as well.

Now, once again, I would ask if you would be interested in joining me after reading the information that I shared above. Now, your answer might be positive. However, very few percent of people might still be in a dilemma.

However, if I provide you with information about how going to the cowshed will have a positive impact on your health, mind, and emotions, then your decision might change to a yes. Do you agree with me?

Many times, we say, “I don’t go to the temple because I trust myself more.” Trusting oneself is not wrong, but going to the temple has nothing to do with it. We will know this only by delving deeper into knowledge. We will learn that the strength of trusting oneself increases by going to the temple. But when one says that they don’t have trust in something, they don’t bother learning more about it, and by doing so, they also lose the benefits that come with that knowledge.

So, why not go deeper and gather more information about that thing that we don’t trust? You will soon realize that the reason for not having trust was simply that you allowed your mind to take only as much information as you heard. You did not consider the need to delve deeper. Perhaps, after delving deeper once, your interest in that same thing, which is both good and beneficial for you, will increase. Being interested in a thing can be achieved by digging in for more information about the thing.
